FIMT Beta Test / GIST Course Development

Developed by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group, this software toolkit is designed to make the production of fire maps more Lee Macholz and Eric Rowell working on the GISS course evaluationefficient " and standardized on all fires across the US. The NCLFA is one of four groups nationally who deployed beta versions of tools on active incidents.  The test phase was completed in winter 2005 and served as the basis for revisions of the tool set was well as for articulation of training requirements needed of the tool is to be used nationally.  Following the FIMT Beta Testing, the NCLFA provided subject matter expertise regarding the toolset to the IRMWT's Geospatial Task Group (GTG) Geospatial Training Advisory Group (GTAG) and participated in the re-development of the Geographic Information System Specialist for Incident Management Training (S-341) curriculum in 2005.
